How it scared people
The vibe
Álvarez builds his best sequence around a rule the franchise established forty-five years ago and never properly used: acid blood in zero gravity, hanging in globules you have to move between. The fan service is heavy-handed, and resurrecting a dead actor's face as a synthetic is a genuinely uncomfortable choice. David Jonsson's Andy is the best thing in it.
