The vibe
The sixth Insidious flips the premise: Gemma (Amelia Eve) doesn't go into the Further so much as leak it — whatever she meets there can follow her home. Lin Shaye is back, and Jacob Chase directs at PG-13. Critics landed well below the audience, roughly where this franchise has sat since Chapter 3. Our jump / gore / dread numbers here read the rating and the premise, not a screening we have sat through yet.
