The vibe
The vampire here is a shy twenty-year-old with razor blades and a syringe of sedative, working the dying steel town of Braddock, Pennsylvania. Whether he's eighty-four years old or just profoundly sick is never settled, and the black-and-white gothic flashbacks may be memory or delusion. Romero called it his own favorite of his films; he wasn't wrong.
