Three mercenaries called the Bangui Hyenas smuggle a drug lord out of Guinea-Bissau during the 2003 coup, put down in Senegal's Sine-Saloum delta, and find something much older waiting. Herbulot swerves from heist thriller to spaghetti western to full supernatural horror without ever slowing down, and the 96% critics' score is not a fluke. Under ninety minutes, no fat.
