The vibe
Two lighthouse keepers, one rock, endless storms, and a lamp neither is allowed to look at. Eggers shoots in strangled 4:3 black-and-white while Dafoe and Pattinson perform a two-man descent into myth, flatulence, and madness. Hilarious and terrifying in the same breath.
