How it scared people
The vibe
Seven bachelors sharing a rented house in Bangalore mess around with a Ouija board out of boredom, which is exactly what writer-director Jithu Madhavan and his own flatmates did in 2007. The horror is mostly a delivery system for the comedy of male roommate dynamics, and it's very funny. Do not come for scares; come for the ensemble.
