How it scared people
The vibe
A novice revered since childhood for her holy visions arrives at a convent school in 1949, and Plaza hangs a key sequence on the real solar eclipse of that April. Cinematographer Daniel Fernández Abelló makes every candlelit frame gorgeous; the story underneath is thinner. Critics rated it far above audiences — trust the audiences a little here.
