The vibe
A beekeeper-suited conspiracy theorist kidnaps a chemical company CEO he is certain is an alien from Andromeda, then goes to work on the soles of the man's feet with menthol liniment. It bombed in Korea in 2003 and spent twenty years as a whispered recommendation before Lanthimos remade it as Bugonia. Tonally berserk, and it earns the ending.
